GOWANDA - Donald R. Tolman, 91, of Zoar Road, Gowanda passed away June 26, 2012 at the Fiddler's Green Nursing Home in Springville, NY.
He was born March 9, 1921 in Gowanda, NY the son of the late Ray and Lois (VanVolkenburg) Tolman.
On July 26, 1944, Donald married the former Anna Johengen, who survives.
Mr. Tolman worked the family dairy farm his whole life and drove school bus for Gowanda Central School for 22 years.
He was an avid outdoorsman and a member of the NRA.
Besides his wife of almost 68 years, he is survived by a son, John (Cheryl Becker) Tolman of Gowanda, NY and two daughters, Barbara Ann (Dick Schmidt) Clancey and Martha (Steven) Wheeler, both of Dundee, NY; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother, Richard Tolman.
Private family services will be held. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery in Gowanda, NY. Memorials may be made to the Gowanda Ambulance Service.
