Three nabbed after Dollar General theft
SILVER CREEK Three Buffalo residents are facing charges after one of them tried to flee with 91 unpaid items from the Dollar General store located at 1360 Route 5 on Wednesday morning.
A shopper in the store observed a male grab an armful of clothing off an outdoor rack and load the clothing into a vehicle. A description of the suspects and vehicle was given and within a few minutes police in Silver Creek located the vehicle in the village. Upon further investigation, authorities charged Willie J. Boler, 45, Alicia L. Armstead, 28, and Leeha Robertson, 50, all with petit larceny and sixth-degree conspiracy.
The three were found in possession of 52 sets of children's clothing, six movie DVDs in cases, 32 DVDs and one pack of batteries. In addition, several bags of property were recovered that were not the property of the retail store. An investigation into the source of the items is continuing.
After arraignment, all three were sent to county jail and additional charges are pending in the village.
