The Chautauqua Lake Thunderbirds had an impressive 2011 high school football season which culminated in a Section 6 Class DD title and now some key seniors are seeing some rewards.
Chautauqua Lake lineman Nick Fisher and quarterback Jason McMahon have been chosen to represent the South team in the 2012 Kensington Lions All-Star Classic.
Also representing the South team will be Silver Creek linemen Andrew Stockman and Kevin Rocque.
The game will kick off at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 25 at Depew High School.
The 37th Annual All-Star Game will give area fans one more look at many of the Western New York stars who graduated this past June.
The Thunderbirds outscored their opponents 290-38 in 2011 and McMahon was a key reason for the offensive success. The quarterback threw for 438 yards and six touchdowns while also rushing for 125 yards and four rushing touchdowns, according to maxpreps.com.
