Name of farming accident victim released

SHERIDAN - On Tuesday, a Sheridan man was killed after being pinned between two farm vehicles.

Around 8:05 p.m., deputies from the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to a residence on Route 5 in the Town of Sheridan after a report of a farm accident. Once on scene, it was learned that Samuel J. Ark, 67, of Sheridan, was extricated prior to deputies arrival.

Silver Creek EMS and Alstar Ambulance arrived on scene and transported Ark to Lake Shore Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
