Elizabeth H. "Betty" Nevlock, 88, of Second Street Dunkirk, N.Y. entered into rest to be with her savior, the Lord, on Wednesday (July 4, 2012) at the Waterfront Health Care Center in Buffalo, N.Y.
She was born in Dunkirk, N.Y. on Oct. 12, 1922, the daughter of the late Joseph and Constance Maurer. A lifelong Dunkirk resident, Mrs. Nevlock was a graduate of the Mercy College of Nursing. She was a retired registered nurse at Brooks Memorial Hospital and had previously been employed as a registered nurse with the County Health Department. Mrs. Nevlock was a member of Blessed Mary Angela R. C. Parish St. Hyacinth's Church.
Surviving is her son, Joseph J. Nevlock of Dunkirk.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Frank J. Nevlock, whom she married on June 23, 1953 and who died on Oct. 23, 2001; her infant son, John Nevlock; her aunt, Katherine Maurer; her father-in-law, John Nevlock and her mother-in-law, Anna (Wisniewski) Nevlock.
Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 9:15 from the Newman Funeral Home, Inc. fol-lowed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 o'clock in Blessed Mary Angela R.C. Parish, St. Hyacinth's Church. Interment will fol-low in St. Hyacinth's Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2-4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today.
