Richard L. "Dick" Carmen, 68, of Fredonia died June 30, 2012 at Brooks Memorial Hospital.
He was born on August 28, 1943 in Buffalo, the son of the late Leo and Louise (Valone) Carmen
He was a retired employee of Nestle Purina.

Dick was an avid car enthusiast; he enjoyed and owned many classic and hot rods. He was a founding member of Lake Shore Street Rods, founded in 1972, where he was a past president for many years. He was a representative for Right Coast Car Association, representative for Syracuse Nationals and also a member of the National Street Rod Association.
Surviving are several children, other family, many friends and his faithful K-9 companion, Spanky.
Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family, and a Memorial Service will be held at a later date to be announced.
Arrangements are by R. Mackowiak Funeral Home, Inc., 56 East Doughty St. in Dunkirk.
