Rally for the Cure Golf

tourney at Sugar Hill

The Girls4 Golf Tuesday Night League will be sponsoring a Rally for the Cure, a two-person scramble, on Tuesday, July 31 at Sugar Hill Golf Course. Registration will be at 4:30 p.m. with a 5:15 p.m. shotgun start. Entry fee is $20 plus golf fee. There will be a cash bar set up and 50/50 raffle tickets will be sold. Sign-up is available at Sugar Hill Golf Course or by contacting Susan Gotowka at 366-4216. Each participant will receive a goody bag, magazine subscription and other surprises. There will be hole prizes and a significant golf prize awarded.

All proceeds from this tournament will be supporting the mission of The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

Fredonia Boys'

Basketball Camp

The Fredonia Central School Boys' Basketball Camp will be held Monday, July 23 through Thursday, July 26 at the Fredonia High School and Middle School gymnasiums from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Cost for the camp is $90. The camp is open to boys entering grades 3 through 12. All campers will receive a camp T-shirt.

Each athlete is expected to arrive between 8:30 and 9 a.m. The camp will start promptly at 9:30 a.m. Athletes are expected to bring their own lunch.

Fredonia State to host Springboard Diving Camp

The seventh annual Blue Devil Diving Camp will be conducted during the week of July 9-13 at Steele Hall Natatorium on the Fredonia State Campus. The camp wil focus on teaching the skills to successfully compete in springboard diving at the age group or high school level. Ages 8-18 are accepted. The camp will emphasize safe entries into the water, proper approaches plus somersaults and twists. A trampoline with spotting belt and dryboard pit will be among the apparati used in the learning of basic and more advance dives.

Fredonia State Diving Coach John Crawford will be assisted by college and high school coaches as well as divers from the present Blue Devil team.

The Girls4 Golf Tuesday Night League - It was a Red, White and Blue Fun Night play organized by Vicki Westling and Sue Michalski. Prizes were given for the most patriotic dressed team and that was won by Nancy Phillips and Jane Ellman.
