Fly-In Breakfast is Sunday
The annual Fly-In Breakfast, held by the Rotary Club of Dunkirk, will take place Sunday at the Dunkirk Airport from 8 a.m. to noon.
Included in the breakfast are eggs, sausage, pancakes as well as coffee or orange juice and milk. Old aircrafts will be on display as well as a silent auction and craft show.

Tickets to the event are $5 for adults and $3 for children - presale and at the door.
Brad Anderson Committee to meet Monday
The Brad Anderson Recognition Committee will hold its next meeting on Monday at 6 p.m. at the Portland Town Hall, 87 W. Main St., Brocton.
Author Justin Gorby book signing event
Justin Gorby of Falconer will be available to sign copies of his book "Prastrim" at the Book Nook 1170 Central Ave., Dunkirk, on July 10 at 6:30 p.m.
"Prastrim" is a fantastical mystery about a couple, Jaydin and Paige Randolph who decide to move their family to the small of Prastrim after being displaced by Hurrica Katrina. Before moving there, they were unaware of the history and the haunted nature of the house into which they were going to move. Soon their very lives, and the lives of the people in the town, are at stake.

Sheriff's child safety seat check Sunday
On Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Chautauqua County Sheriff Deputies will be conducting a Child Passenger Safety Seat Check at the Gerry Rodeo Grounds in Gerry. This event is to assist in inspection, selection and installment of child safety seats. There will be no traffic tickets issued at this event.
