Stella Straszynski, of King Street, Dunkirk, NY died Thursday, July 5, 2012 at the Chautauqua County Home.
She was 92 years of age, born in Nisko, Poland on May 6, 1920, the daughter of the late Jan and Aneila (Kutyta) Krzal. A resident of Dunkirk for the past 60 years, Mrs. Straszynski was a former employee of Van Raalte M. Wile, Dunkirk Ice Cream and the Vineyard Motel and Restaurant. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church.
Surviving are her daughter, Krystina (Eugene) Krzal of Dunkirk; her son, Joseph (Emily) Straszynski of West Henrietta, NY; her grand-daughters, Alexis (Steve) Krzal Crampton of Fredonia and Michelle Straszynski of Toronto, Ontario, Canada; and her daughter-in-law, Christine (the late Stanley) Straszynski-Morris of Tucson, Arizona; and her sis-ter, Sophia Karpinski of Poland.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Stefan Straszynski who died November 12, 1982; her son, Stanley Straszynski who died June 18, 1995; her grandson, Daniel Stone who died March 7, 1997; two brothers, Frank and Stanley Krzal; and her sister, Stephania Cuper.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be held Monday, July 9, 2012 at 10 a.m. in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church. Private interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Friends may call at the Newman Funeral Home, Inc. from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
