SILVER CREEK - Lucille N. Amico, 88, of Parkway Ave., Silver Creek, NY died Wednesday (July 4, 2012) at the home of her step-daughter, Darleen
Blakely. Lucille was born on September 28, 1923 in Fredonia, NY the daughter of the late Joseph and Angeline (Nicosia) Chimera. Before her marriage, Lucille was employed at Fredonia State University as a secretary for Dr. Dawley of the Social Studies Department and Dr. Libby of the English Department.
An area resident most of her life, she was a member at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel in Silver Creek and the Mt. Carmel Social Club. She was also a past member of

the Tri County Country Club. Lucille enjoyed playing golf and bowling. She was an excellent cook and a competitive card player, and was not averse to
playing the penny slots. Survivors include two stepdaughters, Darleen (Donald) Blakely of Silver Creek, NY and Linda (Melvin) Smith of Wilmington,
N.C.; three step-granddaughters, Denise (Peter) Muscarella, Debbie Balzer and Renee (Peter) Butorovich; two step-grandsons, Dennis and Duane Blakely; and also five step-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James (Vince) Amico, whom she married Jan. 31,
1965 at St. Anthony's Church in Fredonia; a stepson, Vincent Amico; two sisters, Antoinette (Toni) Chimera and Evelyn Chimera; two brothers,
Samuel and Joseph (Sparky) Chimera. Friends may call at the Hole-Parker Funeral Chapel, 160 Central Ave., Silver Creek on Sunday, July 8, 2012 from 1 to 4
p.m. where a funeral service will be held Monday, July 9, 2012 at 10 a.m. with Pastor Melvin Smith officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Sheridan, NY.
