Construction of the Wal-Mart store on Route 60 in the village of Fredonia is expected to begin later this month with anticipated opening for the store in late spring 1993. When it was first announced Wal-Mart would be coming to Fredonia, company officials had proposed a summer 1993 opening date. However, it is possible the store could be up and running sooner as construction of the stores usually takes six to eight months depending on weather conditions.
