Sons of Liberty New York will be hosting a charity bike run this Saturday beginning at Demetri's on the Lake in Dunkirk. Registration will take place at 10 a.m. and the bike run will begin promptly by noon. The cost for riders is $15, $10 for non-riders and all proceeds go toward the RO Foundation. All members of the community are encouraged to contribute and attend.
The Annual Sons of Liberty bike run will end at Demetri's on the Lake at approximately 3 p.m. where participants can enjoy food, drink, 50-50 raffles, a Chinese auction and music by local band Rinky Dink. Contributors do not need to ride a bike to donate to the cause and partake in the events.
"We were very excited that the Sons of Liberty chose the RO Foundation as the recipient of the proceeds from this year's bike run," Maggie Owen, co-founder of the RO Foundation said. "We are all looking forward to the event and can't wait to see how many people come out to support the cause."
The RO Foundation assists patients and families who are faced with emergency travel to treatment centers and hospitals, near and far, for long term treatment. Assistance is given to cover the unexpected costs for gas, food and lodging. The RO Foundation is a fund of Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation.
