SILVER CREEK - The Silver Creek Central Middle School announces the Students of the Month for April. The students were selected based on the following criteria: strong work ethic, dependability, helpfulness, respectfulness and cooperation with others.
The sixth-grade recipients are Cory Paterson and Emma Pryll. Cory is the son of Robert and Michelle Paterson of Silver Creek. He participated in karate lessons within school last year and hopes to join the football team this coming school year. Outside of school, he enjoys riding his bike and playing with his friends. One day he would like to become a professional football player.
Emma is the daughter of Herman and Karyn Pryll of Silver Creek. Within school, she is a member of the Grapevine. Outside of school she participates on a youth soccer league. Her favorite activities include riding her bike, climbing trees, exploring, doing artistic activities, and hanging out with friends. She is interested in one day becoming an artist.
The seventh-grade recipients are Noah Radack and Hannah Boothe. Noah is the son of Andrew Radack and Donna Hartnett of Silver Creek. Within school, he sings in chorus, and participates on the football, basketball, and lacrosse teams. Outside of school, he participates on a youth soccer league. His favorite activities include playing football and video games. He hopes to one day become a lawyer or a doctor.
Hannah is the daughter of Stephen and Christina Boothe of Silver Creek. Within school, she sings in chorus and plays the French horn for band and Jr. Jazzers. She also participates on the softball team and is a member of book club. Outside of school, she participates on a youth softball league, takes French horn and piano lessons, and is a member of the Girl Scouts. She is also a member of two church youth groups and the Christ Chapel Wesleyan's puppet team. Her favorite activities include reading, playing with her siblings, playing softball, playing her French horn, and playing the piano at church. Her goal is to become a college professor of instrumental music.
The eighth-grade recipients are Evan Blackman and Jamie Hehir. Evan is the son of Eddie and Elizabeth Blackman of Silver Creek. Within school, he sings in chorus and participates on the football, basketball and lacrosse teams. Outside of school, he participates on a youth baseball league. His favorite activities include playing video games and hanging out with friends and family. His goal is to own a car dealership.
Jamie is the daughter of Michael and Scharlene Hehir of Silver Creek. Within school, she participates on the bowling and soccer teams and is a member of the Natural Helpers. Outside of school, she participates on a youth travel soccer league. Her favorite activities include drawing and playing sports. She hopes to one day become a professional artist.
