The OBSERVER

The Jubilee Celebration of Profession of Vows was celebrated on Thursday, June 21 at the church of St. Francis of Assisi in New York, N.Y., honoring Father Frank Sevola celebrating 25 years as a friar with a reception following Mass. In attendance were his parents Rosemary and Frank, his sisters Tina and Suzanne and niece Sarah Rose.

Sevola grew up in Fredonia in St. Anthony's Parish. He attended and graduated from St. Anthony's Parish School, Cardinal Mindszenty High School and St. Bonaventure University.

"I've almost exclusively done urban ministry," said the priest, who is celebrating his 25th year. His past assignments in New York City, Hartford, Conn., and Providence, R.I., have all been in urban centers.
