The Fredonia School Board of Education met Thursday evening and approved several teaching appointments.
Stephen Raghunath was appointed as a long-term, full-time substitute music teacher for the 2012-2013 school year.
Jennifer Maslakowski was given a leave of absence from her position of middle school English teacher to serve as teacher on special assignment as the Assistant Middle School Principle for the year.
A leave of absence was also approved for Danille Cookson from her position as teacher aide to serve as continuing substitute special education teacher. Courtnianne Gailor was recalled from the preferred eligibility list to serve as French teacher.
Thirty-three student teachers were also appointed and assigned to teachers.
The next board of education meeting will be held on Aug. 14 at 6 p.m. in the high school library. The next audit committee meeting will be held on Aug. 21 at 5 p.m. in room 600.
