Francisca Gonzalez, 90, of Dunkirk, died peacefully July 15, 2012 at home surrounded by her family.
She was born April 1, 1922 in Ponce, Puerto Rico, daughter of the late Dionicio Laboy and Francisca Perez.
Francisca was a homemaker who enjoyed going to church and working in her garden.

She was a member of Iglesia Gethsemani (Assambleas De Dios) Church and a former member of the Assembly of Christian Churches, both in Dunkirk.
Surviving are children Jose (Priscilla) Sanchez of Camden, NJ; Ana Ayala of Camden, NJ; Gualberto Gonzalez of Dunkirk; Maria (Andy Rios) Gonzalez of Dunkirk; Raquel Gonzalez of Buffalo; Adelaideo "Andy" (Aida) Gonzalez of Dunkirk; Ramon (Norma) Gonzalez of Woodbury, NJ; brother Vicente Laboy of Puerto Rico; 54 grandchildren; 60 great grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren also survive.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by children Adolfo Rivera, Mildred Gonzalez and Misael Gonzalez and siblings Nicolaza; Gogo; Fano; Elena; Ana; Ventura.
Relatives and friends may call at the Iglesia Gethsemani (Assambleas De Dios) at 115 Central Avenue, Dunkirk today from 2-4 and 6-7, with services to be held from 7-9. Funeral services will be officiated by the Rev. Carlos and Carmen Llera from the church on Wednesday morning at 10AM. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery.
Arrangements are by the R. Mackowiak Funeral Home Inc., 56 East Doughty Street in Dunkirk.
