Chautauqua County Office for the Aging has received a partial supply of Senior Farmers' Market Coupons. Seniors who wish to apply need to come in person to one of the following distributions and be prepared to show proof of age.
Dunkirk Senior Center, 45 Cliffstar Court, Dunkirk on Thursday from 1 to 4 p.m. or until books are gone.
Jamestown, The Renaissance Center Building, 19 W. Third St., Jamestown, right next to the Farmers' Market. Friday, from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. or until books are gone.
In order to qualify for the program, seniors age 60-plus must meet the following criteria:
Monthly income of at or below $1,722., for a single person household, or
Monthly income of at or below $2,333., for a two person household, or
Monthly income of at or below $2,943., for a three person household
Coupon books are worth $20 with five coupons worth $4 each in each booklet. Coupons are accepted at designated farmers' markets locally at the Dunkirk, Fredonia, Jamestown and Westfield farmers' markets. Addresses and times for these markets will be dispersed with the coupons. Only one coupon is allowed per household; proof of age must be provided to receive a coupon.
Proxy forms are no longer available. Farmers' market coupons must be picked up in person according to funding regulations.
