Pinehurst ParTee Girls - Amy North led the ladies with a gross score of 45, followed by Trudy Gollnitz (47), sub Kathy Brown (48) and Lynn LaMattina (49). The low net scores were shot by Colleen Paradis (28), Diane Enser (33), and sub Kathy Machemer, Jill Muck, Amy North, MaryBeth Pagano and Bert Vilardo (34). Pat Thompson had a birdie on No. 1, and hole prizes were won by Gollnitz and Patty Petrella.

Rally for the Cure Golf Tourney at Sugar Hill

The Girls4Golf Tuesday Night League will be sponsoring a Rally for the Cure, a two-person scramble, on Tuesday, July 31 at Sugar Hill Golf Course. Registration will be at 4:30 p.m. with a 5:15 p.m. shotgun start.

Entry fee is $20 plus golf fee. Raffle and 50/50 tickets will also be available to purchase. Sign up at Sugar Hill Golf Course or by contacting Susan Gotowka at 366-4216.

Each participant will receive a goody bag, magazine subscription and other surprises. There will be hole prizes and a significant golf prize awarded.

All proceeds from this tournament will be supporting the mission of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

H.S. Football coaches mandatory meeting

The annual Southern Tier Heat Clinic and Football Rules Revisions and Interpretation meeting will be held Thursday, Aug. 9 at 7 p.m. It will take place at the Olean Middle School library.

John Eaton, ATC, will present a "Heat Awareness" workshop and Bill Beckerink (football rules interpreter) from the Southwestern Chapter of the New York Football Officials Association will be present to address and answer questions on the 2012 football rule changes.

The Annual Invitational Swim Meet is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 11 at the Westfield Welch Field Pool.

Country Club

Daniel Farrell recorded a Hole-In-One at Tri-County Country Club on the 159-yard hole No. 3. He used a 6-iron to record his first ever Hole-In-One.

Pinehurst Golf Club

Greg Haase recorded a Hole-In-One at Pinehurst Golf Club. The feat came on the 145-yard No. 4 par-3 hole. He used a 7-iron and the shot was witnessed by Anne Haase, Mary Erick and Scot Erick.
