The Dunkirk High School Class of 1942 recently held its 70th anniversary reunion at Shorewood Country Club. There were 12 members and six guests in attendance.
A toast was raised to all classmates. Those present to celebration the occasion were: Marjorie Franzsen Carlson of Phillipsburg, N.J.; Ed Konwinski of Bradford, Pa.; F. Arthur Washington of Monroe N.C.; Sarah Wills Johnson of Pittsford; Ed Marek of Niles, Ohio; Anna Kourelis Fedyszyn of Fredonia; and Dunkirk residents Sophia Stempkowski Urbanik, Martha Pawelczak Bialaszewski, Delphine Sikorski Renwick, Loretta Carpenter Sage and Rolly Mahany. Ruth Langenstine Fitzgerald of Fredonia, a 1942 graduate of St. Mary's Academy, also attended.
Chairperson Luella Piest Clubb of Palm Springs, Calif., could not attend because of a family illness. She was missed.

The formation of The Last Man's Club was tabled until the next reunion. The committee for the 75th anniversary reunion will be announced later this year.
