CASSADAGA - Wayne Dunlap, 80, of Cassadaga, died Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at Brooks Memorial Hospital in Dunkirk. Born April 30, 1932 in Rochester, son of the late Earl and Emma South-
worth. He was a veteran of the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He had been employed at several factories including 17 years at Ralston Purina as a machine operator, a driver for CARTS and most recently Valone Ford, Fredonia until 2009. Throughout his working years he also repaired TVs. Volunteer fire service was an important part of his life and he was a Life Member of Cassadaga VFD, joining in 1971. Previously he was a member and past Fire Chief of Lily Dale VFD.Wayne enjoyed painting, building and flying remote control planes and rockets and was an accomplished rose gardener, but nothing was more important than his family. Dunlap, Scott (Stephanie) Dunlap, all of Cassadaga; grandfather of 14; great-grandfather of 13; long time companion of Maryann Bielaszka of Dunkirk and was preceded in death by the mothers of his children, Joan Maybee and Jessie P. Rogers. Funeral service 1 p.m. Saturday in Jordan Funeral Home, Sinclairville. Visitation 2 hours prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to to Cassadaga VFD.
