Cornell Cooperative Extension of Chautauqua members have a variety of projects on display in the 4-H Building. The 4-H building is a showcase of the projects created by talented 4-H members; these items are on display all week. Fair Board member Dave Wilson had the difficult task of judging each club display area.
The Canadaway 4-H Club won the Division A Category, having 20 or more members, with the Crowes Corners 4-H Club taking second, and the Fredonia Fireworks taking third. In the smaller Division B Category for clubs having 11-19 members, the Stockton Panthers won first place, with Levant Livewires in second, and Cherry Creek Cornhuskers in third, and Paws and Pals in fourth place. In the Division C Category for clubs with 5-10 members, the Harmony Haystackers won, while the Silver Creek Grapestompers received second, the Forestville Teddy Bears taking third, and the Frewsburg Hayseeds won fourth.
The 4-H Building was very busy as county fair goers had a chance to participate in a number of youth and adult activities, including the agricultural awareness area where youth can play in the "corn (sand) box." 4-H Youth Teen leaders help to engage fairgoers in creative crafts. 4-H members listed below also gave public presentations in the 4-H Building from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on a variety of topics.
