The OBSERVER

EAST OTTO - Joseph Bach, 19, of Sky Ranch Road was charged with second-degree menacing with a weapon, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and second-degree harassment on July 11. Bach was charged from an incident that took place in October. A female victim reportedly went to Bach's home to meet with him after the two had been texting each other for a short period of time after meeting on Facebook. The victim brought a friend with her to the meeting, upsetting Bach who had requested she come alone. The victim did agree to give a ride to Bach to Springville from his home that evening. While she was driving, he started texting the victim making threats to her that he would put a gun to the back of her head in the texts. Upset, the victim drove to Country Fair in Springville and told Bach to exit the vehicle. While he was getting out, he showed the victim a black handgun. Bach was processed at the Collins barracks and arraigned in Springville Village Court.
