Edna A. Mikula

Edna A. Mikula, 80, of Dunkirk passed away peacefully on July 25, 2012.

She was born February 1, 1932, to the late Harvey and Minnie (Hooker) Samuelson at Townsend Hospital in Gowanda, NY.

She attended Villenova district 1 elementary school when it was just a one room schoolhouse. She was a member of the South Dayton High School Athletic Association and served as a staff member for the yearbook committee. She graduated in 1950 from South Dayton High School.

She worked as a dental Assistant for Dr. Myerhoff before retiring with her husband to Florida. Edna enjoyed golfing, playing the organ, and gardening.

Survivors include three sons, Jerome (Marianna) Mikula of Westerville, OH, David (Lisa) Mikula of Clifton Park, NY, and Darryl (Jen) Mikula of Fredonia, NY. Eight grandchildren, Mark, Luke, Lauren, Jeffery, Sara, Ryan, Samantha and Kyle also survive.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Mikula who passed away March 1, 1992.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Christian Memorial which will be celebrated Saturday August 4 at 1 p.m with a luncheon to follow at St. Joseph's Church in Fredonia.
