Albin F. Dudzic, 92, passed away Wednesday evening (Aug. 1, 2012) at the Chautauqua County Home where he was a resident. He previously lived on Nevins Street and West Beach Road in Dun-kirk.
He was born in Dunkirk on Sept. 16, 1919, the son of the late Jacob and Veronica (Stasiak) Dudzic.
Albin attended Dunkirk High School and served with the 708th Bomber Squadron in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He participated in the air offensives in the Ardennes, Normandy, Central Europe and the Rhine-land. He received the European, African, Middle Eastern Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal for his service.

After his discharge, Albin worked for the American Locomotive Company and for New York State at the Perrysburg facility until his retirement.
He spent much of his re-tired life with his beloved grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Florence (Stalter) Dudzic; a son, Richard (Sally) Dudzic; a daughter, Diane (Gary) Valla, all of Fredonia; a brother, Albert Dudzic of Dunkirk; six grandchildren, Sarah Dudzic, Daniel Dudzic, Mary Beach, David Dudzic, Denise Hilton and Renee Valla; six great- grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Adolph Dudzic.
There will be no prior visitation. A memorial service will be held privately. Interment will be at St. Mary's Cemetery in Dunkirk. Arrangements are by the McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home.
