Joseph and Donna Baker of Tonawanda announce the engagement of their daughter, Erin Kristina Baker, to Nicholas Langworthy. Langworthy is the son of Theodore Langworthy Jr. of Jamestown and Priscilla Lycett of South Dayton.
The bride-to-be is a 2002 graduate of Kenmore East and received her BA in political science and criminal justice from Canisius College in 2006. She returned to Buffalo in 2010 after four years of working in Washington, D.C., for Rep. Tom Reynolds. She is employed as a senior legislative aide to Assemblyman Ray Walter.
Her fiance is a 1999 graduate of Pine Valley and earned his BA in political science from Niagara University in 2003. Since 2010, Langworthy has served as chairman of the Erie County Republican Party.
