The Girls4Golf Tuesday Night League at Sugar Hill Golf Course sponsored a ‘Rally for the Cure’ tournament on Tuesday, July 31, raising $1,298 for the Susan G. Komen Foundation for Breast Cancer Reasearch for the Western New York area. Major prize winners for Closest to the Pin on No. 8 were Melissa Kelly and Cody Vanzile. Kelly, along with Donna Frost, also took home women’s low score while Vanzile and Jordan Farnham were the men’s low score winners. Tom and Nancy Phillips were the couples’ low score winner while a special prize was awarded to Craig and Lisa Barber. Hole prize winners were: Deb Yerico (No. 1). Wet and wild prize winners were Susan Johnson and Jim McGill (No. 3), Farnham (No. 3), Tom Taylor and Harry Szewczyk (No. 4), Tim and Cindy Gotowka (No. 5), Tom Phillips (No. 7), Mike and Karen Tramuta (No. 8), Frost (No. 8), Kelly (No. 8), Yerico (No. 8), Vanzile (No. 8), Jane Ellman (No. 9). Friday Evening Couples League - The format was a four-player scramble with a test of putting skills. The first place team, with a score of 34 was Chris Penfold and Priscilla Penfold and Fritz Worosz. Next, with a score of 35 was George Allessi and Pam Allessi and John Lakas and Paula Lakas.
Next, was a three-way tie at 36. The teams were Pete and Colleen Borzilleri and Chuck and Carole Hudson, along with Bob Manning and Jan Manning and Jim Waite and Pam Waite, as well as Dave Paradis and Colleen Paradis and Larry Tibbetts and Rosemary Tibbetts.
