The Pinehurst Golf Course "Par Tee Girls" Tuesday Golf League sponsored one of the official Rally for the Cure Golfing Events on Saturday, July 21.
There were 42 golfers participating in the event which raised $2,074 for the Susan G. Komen Foundation for Breast Cancer Research for our Western New York area. The major prizes were for a closest to the pin on a par 3 hole and were won by Colleen Paradis for the ladies, and Jim Gennock for the men. Each was awarded a hybrid club provided by the Rally for Cure Program.
Low team scores were won for the ladies Judy Gollnitz and Bert Vilardo; for the men Todd Swanson and Sam Arcadipane; and for the couples Dan and Deb Lloyd-Priest. Other winners were: Hole 1: ladies longest drive was Jill Muck, Hole 2: closest to the gnome in the fairway was Kim Texter, Hole 3: men's closest to the black and white stake was Todd Swanson, Hole 5: men's longest putt made was Shawn Gnadzinski, Hole 6: men's longest drive was won by Tim Texter, Hole 8: ladies longest putt was June Beers, and Hole 9: ladies closest to the black and white stake June Beers. The Wet and Wild award was won by Patrick Deering.
