Doug Clark and Mike Korzienewski combined for the win on the mound striking out seven and allowing just two hits. Randy Stuart led the 15-hit attack with three hits while Brian Wojcinski, Tim Cowan and Clark all had two hits apeice.
Jon Muck took the complete game loss for the Giants.

Mike Matz went the distance for the win scattering eight hits while striking out six. Chris Maggio had two hits to lead the Mets offense.
Tim Cowan and Doug Clark had two hits each while Steve Keyser, Brian Wojcinski, Randy Stuart and Bob Bankoski all hit safely to back losing pitcher Mike Korzienewski.

In a rematch of last year's championship game, the A's fought back twice before finally taking the game in extra innings. Doug Clark went the distance scattering six hits while striking out a season-high 12. Corky Korales lead the 16-hit attack with four hits while Craig Kofod and Clark each had three hits.
Steve Keyser and Brian Wojcinski chipped in with two hits apeice.

Gowanda Slow Pitch Softball tourney set for Sept. 2
The 16th Annual Gowanda Men's Slow Pitch Softball Tournament is set for Sunday, Sept. 2.
This is a double-elimination tournament. Batters will start with a 2-1 pitch count. Entry fee is $65 per team.

Fall Soccer Signups for Westfield, Ripley, Brocton and Mayville
There is still time to sign up for fall l
ocal youth soccer program. Applications can be picked up and turned in at the Village of Westfield window in the Eason Hall, 23 Elm St.
Applications can be mailed in. Signups are for children ages 4-11. For children turning 4 by Sept. 4 and not turning 12 until Oct. 28). Games will begin Sept. 8 and end Oct. 27.
The fee is $20 for the first child, $15 for the second and $10 for the third (max. of $45 per family), but scholarships are available if needed.
