Local artist Robert Harrington Sr. of Dunkirk recently had the honor of having two of his oil paintings accepted for the 77th annual Cooperstown Art Association National Juried Art Exhibition.
Selected from close to 500 entries the exhibit was represented by 120 artists from 21 states and included 150 works of art. This year's exhibition was juried by noted fine artist and illustrator Tony Reineman from New York City. Reineman stated in is juror notes that, "The depth, breadth and sheer creativity of this year's entries represent the best of American art in all its dimensions."
A reception and awards ceremony was held on July 13 at the Cooperstown Art Association Gallery for the artist and their guests. The exhibit is scheduled to be on display through Aug. 17.

As the retired sole proprietor of Harrington Signs, Harrington has been a professional artist for more than 50 years and has received numerous awards from various organizations in both watercolor and oil.
Harrington has had the pleasure of having many of his works accepted and displayed at several galleries including the Impact Art Gallery in Buffalo, the Abney Galleries in New York City and the Ariel Art Gallery in Soho.
