The OBSERVER

LILY DALE - "Communicating with the World of Spirit" is the name of one of the special events slated for the coming week in Lily Dale.

Raymond Buckland, author of 70 books, medium and ordained minister, will present this program Saturday, Aug. 18, from 2 to 5 p.m. in the auditorium. During the event, participants will learn how to connect with their personal spirit guide and discover how that guide can bring departed loved ones to them. Participants also will learn what goes on at a typical seance and how a group seance differs from a personal reading.

Buckland also will present a second workshop that day from 7 to 10 p.m. in the auditorium called "Solitary Seances." He will explain how you can access those in the spirit world without the help of a medium. Buckland will explain that we all have the innate ability to connect with spirit and there are multiple tools that can be used to facilitate this process. Workshop participants will have the opportunity to experiment, practice and try new methods of spirit communication. He asks that each participant brings a notebook and pencil.

Signing up early for these workshops is a must because they fill up quickly. There is an admission charge for each session.

B. Anne Gehman, who began her work as a medium at age 15, working in this capacity internationally throughout the years, will present a workshop Monday through Friday in the Assembly Hall entitled "Unfoldment of Your Higher Spiritual Gifts: Mediumship, Healing and Serving Humanity." The class is designed for self-empowerment and to assist those who feel the call of spirit in healing and mediumship. The natural laws that influence mediumship will be emphasized, as will the important principle that mediumship is a calling to serve humankind through spirit with love.

Gehman was one of the mediums featured in the recent HBO television documentary "No One Dies in Lily Dale." She is recognized as one of the top 100 psychics in America.

Pre-registration is strong encouraged for this workshop, as space is limited. There is an admission fee.
