State Police at Collins

FARNHAM - On Thursday, troopers arrested David Spinella, 35, of Erie Road in Angola for seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and numerous traffic charges after a traffic stop on Route 5 and Lotus Point Road.

Troopers stopped his car because he was reportedly not wearing a seatbelt. Spinella reportedly told officers he did not have a New York state driver's license. It was reported that a computer check found him to have nine currents suspensions on five different dates.

While doing an inventory of the car prior to it being towed from the scene, an officer found a Lortab tablet inside the center console glovebox of the car.

Spinella was processed at state police headquarters in Collins and is due in Brant Town Court later this month.
