Gowanda - Arletta G. Hancock, 85, of Buffalo Street, Gowanda passed away July 23, 2012 in Ohio.
Born Aug. 1, 1926 in Gowanda, NY, she was married to Herman Hancock, who predeceased her.
Mrs. Hancock was an active member of the Gowanda Free Methodist Church in Gowanda, NY.
Surviving are two sons, Dennis (Janice) Hancock of Shadyside, Ohio, and Jeffrey (Maryanne) Hancock of Avon, NY: a daughter, Cindy (Ralph) Hill of Gowanda, NY; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Earle; and a sister, Ethel Messina.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, Aug. 25, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. from Pine Grove Cemetery in Gowanda, NY. Memorials may be made to the Gowanda Free Methodist Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Mentley Funeral Home Inc., 105 East Main Street in Gowanda, NY.
