The Majkut family recently celebrated their 40th annual family reunion. The event was held at the Murray Hose Co. No. 4 Fireman's Grounds at Point Gratiot. Several out-of-state family members traveled to Dunkirk from Connecticut, South Carolina and Wisconsin. A basket auction, cribbage, horseshoes and Frisbee Kanjam were activities that were enjoyed by all. Celebrating their Polish ancestry, the founding Majkut reunion family members (now deceased) were honored: Walter, Victoria, Cecilia, Mary, Sophie and John. A commemorative T-shirt with their photo was part of the auction.
