Robert V. Gasper

FORESTVILLE - Robert V. Gasper, 66, of King Road, Forestville, died unexpectedly, Saturday, (August 18, 2012) at UPMC Hamot Medical Center, Erie, PA. He was born in Dunkirk, on June 26, 1946, the son of the late Vincent and Beatrice (McCollough) Gasper.

Mr. Gasper served in the U.S. Marines as a Sgt. in the Vietnam War. He worked as a Truck Driver for Hills Trucking, Fredonia and also had his own Home Business. He was a member and trustee of Gage Chapel Community Church, Smith Mills and he enjoyed his children, grandchildren, church, friends, garage, square dancing and doing home repairs.

Survivors include his wife Donna Gasper, whom he married on April 2, 1983, in Silver Creek, two daughters, Liz (Terry) Yochum, of Silver Creek; Michele (Dan Sprague) Gasper, of Perrysburg; a son, Gerald Hall, of Fredonia; and a brother, William (Shirley) Gasper, of Fredonia. Also surviving are three grandchildren: Bradley and Chad Yochum and Madison Hall and several nieces, nephews and brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by an infant brother Johnny Gasper, an infant daughter, Stacey Gasper, and his father-in-law, Gerry Robillard.

Friends are welcome to call at the Riles & Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main Street, Forestville on Wednesday from 3-8 p.m. Funeral Services will be held Thursday morning at 11 o'clock from Gage Chapel Community Church, Hanover Road, Smith Mills, with Rev. Michael Pollock officiating.
