GERRY - James E. Kahle, 64, of Gerry died Sunday (Aug. 19, 2012) at home.
Born Nov. 10, 1947 in Jamestown, son of the late Don and Vera Schilling Kahle. A Chautauqua County resident most of his life, he was an alumnus of Jamestown schools.
A Veteran of the Vietnam Conflict, he served as a Sergeant in the United States Marines.

He was employed for over 35 years at Blackstone/Valeo retiring in 2007.
Jim was a "homebody" who enjoyed working on his home, spending time with his dog and most of all, loved being with family, especially his grandchildren.
Husband of 44 years to Mary Ann (Frye) Kahle, whom he married January 23, 1968; father of James (Cathy) Kahle, Jr. of Gerry and Kristina (Sean) Kahle-LeBarron of Forestville; grandfather of Ethan and Alex Kahle and Katelyn and Kyle LeBarron; brother of Bruce Kahle and Sandra Cordova both of Randolph, Geraldine Sard of Panama and the late Ruth Mattocks, Doris Ramakers, Maxine Ricketts, John and Don Kahle. Also survived by nieces and nephews.
Funeral service 11 a.m. Wednesday in Jordan Funeral Home, Sinclairville. Visitation 6-9 p.m. Tues-day. Burial in Gerry Cemetery.
