Kachermeyer family holds reunion

August 23, 2012
The OBSERVER

The descendants of Wolfgang and Maryanna Kachermeyer held their annual reunion at the Hose No. 4 Firemen's Grounds at Point Gratiot.

Seventy-eight family members and guests were in attendance. Many relatives still reside in the Western New York area and some traveled from as far away as Arizona, Michigan and Ohio. The eldest relative attending was Fredonia resident Lorraine Bardwell and the youngest relative was Dunkirk resident Jordyn Santos.

Current family news and past events were shared.

A family picture session was held.

The children enjoyed pony rides and viewed a baby kangaroo provided by Ray Forrester and Karen Dorler Smith of All Living Things.

A Chinese auction, 50/50 drawing and wrapped gift auction followed a picnic style dinner. The money raised from these will help fund next year's reunion.

Henry and Faith DiLorenzo will co-chair in 2013.

Thanks were extended to the reunion committee of Henry and Faith DiLorenzo, Juanita Mazany and Sheila Mazany and to all attendees for making 2012 another successful reunion.
