The Shorewood Country Club’s Women’s Club Championship was played Aug. 18-19. The results of the two-day event are: Pictured from left are runner up Grace Hanlon and Club Champion Jenny Ringler (165). The Division winners were Sue Marsh (Class A), Jan Damico (Class B) and Joan Tallett (Class C).

The Girls4 Golf Tuesday Night League - A fun night was played with three-women teams competing playing best ball. Low score was won by Nancy Phillips, Linda Prince and Vicki Westling with a score of 38. High score was taken by Sue Hertlein, Sue Michalski and Suzanne Elias with a score of 45. Low putts was won by Sue Gotowka, Debbie Yerico and Sally Giambrone with a total of 13 putts.
The league will have its year-end banquet at The White Inn in Fredonia on Tuesday, Aug. 28 with cocktails at 6 p.m. and dinner at 6:30 p.m.
Team standings and prizes will be awarded at the banquet.
Vineyards Golf
Wednesday Morning Ladies Purple Posse League - This week's game was just the putts please. 1st place: Marcia Casella 15, Jeanne Pagano 15. 2nd place: Grace Miller 16, Barb VanDette 16. The Purple Posse will be playing again Aug. 29, with end of season handicap tournament. A meeting is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. and tee off is set for 10 a.m. with a picnic to follow.
New members are always welcome.

Hammerhead
Swim Club
The Hammerhead Swim Club is a sanctioned member of the Niagara District of USA Swimming. The 2012-2013 season will begin Sept. 17 at 6:15 p.m. at the Fredonia State University pool in Steele Hall. The club is designed to instruct youth age 6-18 in the four basic stroke techniques and condition them for competitive swimming.

Gary Tripp Golf Tournament
Registartion is now open for The Gary Tripp Memorial Golf Tournament being held Sunday, Sept. 9 at Shorewood Country Club.
The cost is $90 per golfer with dinner to follow at the Kosciuszko Club.
