August 26, 2012
The OBSERVER

The Home School Association of Northern Chautauqua Catholic School recognized six of its alumni. These alumni recently completed their four years graduating in the top 10 percent of their respective high schools. This year's recipients are: Cara Barnes, Mount Mercy Academy; Heather Buck, Mount Mercy Academy; Andrea Hobbs, Dunkirk High School; Ian Prechtl, St. Francis High School; Amanda Reed, Dunkirk High School; and Catherine Wielgasz, Silver Creek High School, where she was valedictorian

The students each received gift cards to be used for college textbooks. This recognition of its alumni is a tradition of the Northern Chautauqua Catholic School Home School Association. The success of its graduates is appreciated by the entire faculty and staff of NCCS who contribute to the solid academic, social and spiritual foundation of the students. While the students attend a wide range of high schools they report being well prepared for their future experiences. Many of the alumni receive awards at Senior Night and graduation programs.
