Editor, OBSERVER:
I think this whole toll issue is just another Albany charade. They start off claiming they need a 45 percent increase. The politicians starting with Gov. Andrew Cuomo, then the Senate and Assembly show their indignation saying there has to be a way to cut the increase down, you have to look at cuts somewhere as not to thrust this upon the good people of this state. In the long run we will end up with a 25 to 30 percent increase and all of them will say look what heroes we are, we saved you millions in toll fees and kept the toll increase at a minimum.
I am a little disgusted that I arrived at the public hearing on toll increase, was the second one signed up to speak just to sit there, listen to all the Western New York politicians stand up and give speeches then leave. I continued to sit there till the end and was not called to speak against the 45 percent toll increase. This is the first time I have not been called to speak.
