Twenty years ago - 1992

Jennifer Kozlowski, daughter of Chester and Arlon Kozlowski, 28 Armadillo St., Dunkirk is representing the Dunkirk Rotary Club and District 7090 as an exchange student to Brazil. A student at Dunkirk High School, Jennifer plans to return to Dunkirk in June 1993 to resume her studies there after attending a local high school in Sao Jose Do Rio Preto, Brazil.

Thirty years ago - 1982

Whitney North "Mike" Seymour Jr. recently presented a $25 gift certificate to Inez Howard of Dye Road in the town of Villenova for her quilt square depicting Chautauqua County. The Quilt Square competition on Counties of New York is sponsored by Young Voters for Seymour. He is a candidate for the Republican nomination for U.S. Senator.

Forty years ago - 1972

The snow tires on-and-off routine may soon be a thing of the past. New radial construction "all season" tires are on the drawing boards. The outside edge tread pattern is conventional, with the inside retaining the foul weather design.

Fifty years ago - 1962

"Putt-A-Bit," a new 18-hole miniature golf course, has opened east of the A&P Store at the D&F Plaza.
