Trinity Lutheran Church plans end-of-summer picnic
The Trinity Lutheran Church, 15 Porter Ave., Silver Creek will hold its annual end-of-summer picnic at the Wendt Shelter at Camp Pioneer on Sunday, Sept. 9. This fellowship day will begin with an 11:30 a.m. worship service at the shelter. Vicar Ken Zitsch will officiate. Congregation members are asked to bring a dish to pass. Meat, drinks and tableware will be provided. Guests are always welcome. Camp Pioneer is located at 9324 Lake Shore Road, Angola where the Son always shines.
Holy Trinity Seniors to convene at Dunkirk Lighthouse
The Holy Trinity Seniors will hold its next meeting at the Dunkirk Lighthouse on Sept. 13 at 12:30 p.m.
After the tour, they will enjoy their own brown bag luncheon. There is an admission fee that will benefit this facility. Try to attend. It will be a memorable experience.
Church to celebrate anniversary and canonization
St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, 328 Washington Ave., Dunkirk, will be celebrating the 37th anniversary of the parish and canonization of her patron, Mother Elizabeth Ann Seton, who was canonized on Sept. 14, 1975.
The celebration will begin with a Eucharistic celebration at 6 p.m. followed by a supper and program in the parish hall. All parishioners, and families are invited, as well as invitations being sent out to former pastors and assistants, as well as seminarians who have served the parish.
