Dennis and Carolyn Karin are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married at St. Hyacinth's Church in Dunkirk on Aug. 18, 1962.
Carolyn is the daughter of the late William and Dorothy Leja. Dennis is the son of the late Arthur and Florence Karin. Carolyn is a retired secretary from AL Tech Steel. Dennis is a retired Dunkirk School teacher.
The couple's children are Bill Karin of Buffalo, Peter and Anne (Karin) Gilray of Fredonia, Darren and Debbie (Karin) Quandt of Dunkirk and Robert and Stella Karin of Dunkirk. The couple have six grandchildren: Ben and Paula Karin, Hannah and Jack Gilray and Tyler and Shyla Karin.

A small party with family and friends was held on Aug. 12 at the Dunkirk Moose Lodge to celebrate the anniversary. Guests attended from Dunkirk, Fredonia, Irving, Buffalo and Rochester.
