FORESTVILLE - Mae "Sue" Franklin, age 82, of 5 Swan St., Forestville died Saturday (Sept. 1, 2012) at Heritage Village Rehab-Nursing Facility in Gerry, NY after a short illness.
She was born Dec. 22, 1929 in Silver Creek, NY, the daughter of the late Claud Newton and Cora (Allen) Chapman.
Mrs. Franklin retired from the Chautauqua County Home of Dunkirk, NY in 1979. She was a member of the Pioneer Social Club of Forestville, NY.

Survivors include a brother, William A. (Connie) Newton of Eden, NY; a stepdaughter, Kathy (Lance) Parker of Forestville, NY; a stepson, Kennard R. Franklin Jr.; and four sons, Kenneth L. VanBuskirk, David W. (Valorie) VanBuskirk, Jeromy (Crystal Irwin) VanBuskirk, all of Forestville, NY; Christopher (Faith) Thoroman of Grand Blanc, Mich. Eleven grandchildren, Shannon, Billy, Sami, Josh, Tina, Sarah, Ashley, Brandon, Amber, Christine and Christopher; and nine great grandchildren also survive.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Kennard R. Franklin; a daughter, Susan (VanBuskirk) Sheldon; two infant children, Daniel C. and Georgette L. VanBuskirk; and a granddaughter, Jessica Lynn Parker.
There will be no visitation observed. Memorial services will be held Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Forestville Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to the Forestville Baptist Church, 5 Prospect St., Forestville, and the Forest-ville Fire Department, Chestnut Street, Forestville.
