Dunkirk High School Class of 1972 recently held its 40th reunion with a weekend celebration. On Friday night, classmates met at 41 West for a fun-filled evening featuring refreshments, conversation and catching up. Classmate Ron Epolito owns 41 West.
On Saturday, classmates met across from the Clarion Hotel to take a short tour on a school bus. The first stop was Merritt Winery for conversation, wine sampling and hors d'oeuvres. The second stop was Dunkirk High School for a tour including a look at the new pool. Classmates posed for pictures at the desks in the old homerooms. The class picture was taken on the football field. The next stop was the big pavilion at Point Gratiot for visiting and refreshments. The point was the old stomping grounds of the class during school days.
The final stop was Katrina's on the Lake where classmates met for dinner. Chairman Joe Russo welcomed all who attended and thanked them for supporting this year's reunion, which was said to be the best reunion. The closing prayer was offered by David Buck.
