Dunkirk ran at the Fredonia State Invitational Saturday, held at Lake Erie State Park.

The Marauders' top finisher was Javier Soto, who came in fourth in a time of 19:07. Following Soto on the Marauders were Kevin Morales (12th, 20:25), Ray Tarnowski (14th, 20:25), Ethan Francis (15th, 20:55), Billy Bradley (18th, 21:43), Tom Logan (20th, 23:39), Ben Tarnowski (21st, 32:14) and Don Haynes (31st, 33:32).

Jamestown's Christian Edborg took first place in a time of 18:14, helping the Red Raiders to the victory, as they finished with 19 points. Kenmore West finished second with 49 and Dunkirk third with 63.

Nardin Academy won the girls' meet while Jamestown took second. Both Dunkirk and Kenmore West finished incomplete.

For the Lady Red Raiders, Katie Promber finished 18th in a time of 27:47 while Brittany Geise finished in 35th in a time of 40:10.

"When the girls finally ran, it was pretty muddy," Dunkirk head coach Kurt Warmbrodt said. "(The course) was pretty beaten down. It did clear up later when we ran, so there was no rain and that was a plus. It's nice to get the season started."

Dunkirk will be at Frewsburg on Tuesday.
