Brocton water

conservation in effect

The village of Brocton is requesting residents to voluntarily conserve water Tuesday through Friday. The village will be performing scheduled maintenance repair to one of its two filters. This work will prevent the village from producing normal quantities of water.

Master Gardener Program offers an Evening in the Garden

The Master Gardener Program of Chautauqua County would like to invite the public to an Evening in the Garden at their new Demonstration Site Tues-day at 6 p.m. The event will include a tour of the garden, a tasting of the vegetable varieties grown and Seed Saving and Lasagna Gardening Demonstrations. The evening will be hosted and presented by the Master Gardeners.

All are welcome to attend and the event is free of charge. The Demonstration Garden is located at the Frank Bratt Ag Center at 3542 Turner Road in Jamestown.

The mission of the Master Gardener Program is to educate and serve the community, utilizing university and research-based horticultural information. This program is administered through Cornell Cooperative Extension of Chautauqua County.

Pomfret ZBA meeting tonight

Town of Pomfret Zoning Board of Appeals has upcoming meetings to re-view use variance requests.

The ZBA will reconvene to review a use variance and area variance for Robert LeGrano, located at 9638 Seymour St., Fredonia today at 6:30 p.m.

It will review a special use permit and use variance for James Langendorfer, located at 8066 Route 60, Cassadaga on Sept. 17 at 6:30 p.m. and review a use variance and area variance for David L. Penharlow, located at 9025 Spoden Road, Fredonia at 7:30 p.m

All meetings will be at the Pomfret Town Hall, 9 Day St., Fredonia.
