Stone Country Band to perform at Collins Library

COLLINS - The Friends of the Collins Public Library will feature a concert by Stone Country Band on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. Buffalo's legendary country band will be playing their music at the Collins Library.

The Stone Country Band was formed in 1974 and recorded their first album in Nashville in 1979. The band has traveled all over the United States, performing for sold out shows everywhere such as stadiums, fairs, festivals and honky tonks of every size. They have appeared with every major star in Country Music including Conway Twitty, Hank Snow, Asleep at the Wheel, Mickey Gilley, Emmy Lou Harris, Nat Stucky, Hank Thompson, Diamond Rio, Gene Watson, Dale Watson, Bill Kirtchen, Jim Lauderdale, George Strait, Kenny Chesney, John Michael Montgomery, Lee Greenwood, Lone Star, Tim McGraw and many, many others.

Stone Country Band is a member of the New York State Buffalo Music Hall of Fame and has won many awards for musical achievements and works done for charity.

The concert falls during the library's annual book sale. Come and enjoy the concert and buy a few books. The Friends of the Collins Public Library sponsor the concert.
