GOWANDA - The Fredonia Lady Hillbillies continued their early-season dominance with a 5-0 victory over Gowanda (1-3, 1-4) on Thursday in CCAA Division 1 girls' high school tennis.
In first singles, Fredonia's Baylee Tarnowski took down Jessica Sowa, 6-0, 6-1. In first doubles, Dana Wirojratana and Martina Kessler defeated Alayna Swartz and Brittney Stelly, 6-3, 6-0.
Southwestern 5, Dunkirk 0
The winless Dunkirk Lady Marauders (0-4) faced a tough undefeated Southwestern team (4-0) and lost, 5-0, Thursday in CCAA Division 1 girls' high school tennis action.
The closest match of the day came in first doubles as Southwestern's Elizabeth Rowan and Victoria VanEvery took down Dunkirk's Ally Clemens and Crystal Muller, 6-0, 6-1.
Dunkirk returns to action Monday when it travels to Jamestown.
