Twenty years ago - 1992

A wooden jungle gym was recently won by Peter and Linda Ganey of Dunkirk at St. Hyacinth's Summer Festival. All lumber and other materials for the jungle gym were donated by Service Hardware and Add Lumber, both of Dunkirk. Enjoying the grand prize are Christopher, Courtney and Brittany Ganey.

Thirty years ago - 1982

Patton Electric recently celebrated its grand opening under the new ownership of Herb and Terry Lotter. Richard G. King of Dunkirk won a GE Color TV (1st prize) and Josephine Tedesco of Silver Creek won an Amana Radar range (2nd prize).

Forty years ago - 1972

Michael W. McEntarfer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wesley McEntarfer of Fredonia, has been named to the dean's list at the Albany College of Pharmacy of Union University. A Fredonia High School graduate, he is a member of the fifth year's class.

Fifty years ago - 1962

Henry C. Ebert today became the first Dunkirk Lions Club member to receive the Lions International Master Key Award. The honor was given during a program at Rusch's Restaurant.
