GOWANDA - Kenneth F. Hawkins, 82, of Hawkins Road, Gowanda passed away Friday (Sept. 14, 2012) at the Gowanda Nursing Home.
He was born Feb. 14, 1930 in Gowanda, NY the son of the late Frank and Jennie Hawkins.
Mr. Hawkins was predeceased by his wife Lulu in 1995.
He was a self-employed logger and farmer.
Survivors include seven sons, Kenneth Hawkins of Gowanda, Lloyd Hawkins of Silver Creek, Frank Hawkins of Gowanda, Fred Hawkins of Florida, Douglas (Liz) Hawkins of Collins Center, David (MJ) Hawkins of Florida and Leon Hawkins of Gowanda; five daughters, Lillian (Dennis) Kennedy of Gowanda, Karen Hawkins of Gowanda, Alice (Dan) Dankert of Otto, Dorothy (Charles) Scott of Collins Center and Evelyn Lee of Dayton; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, Gordon Hawkins.
Friends may call at the Mentley Funeral Home Inc. on Monday, Sept. 17, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2012 at 11 a.m. from the funeral home. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
